- Mihail Mutafov is a Bulgarian theater and cinema actor, twice winner of Theater Award "Asker". He was born in Harmanli, Bulgaria. He is famous for his large figure, typical male fascinating radiation, even in old age. In the last ten years, he often is working with director Yavor Gardev ( "Bastard," "MaratSad," "The Pillowman," "Krum", "Piece Baby," "Caligula"). In 1972, he graduated from National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria in the class of Professor Zhelcho Mandadzhiev. Since 1972 to 1975 he has played in Dimitrovgrad Drama Theater "Apostle Karamitev" (the roles in plays such as "Treachery and Love" by Friedrich Schiller, "Careerists" by Ivan Vazov, "A Streetcar Named Desire" by Tennessee Williams). Since 1975, he is in the troupe of Varna Drama Theater "Stoyan Bachvarov." He has played many roles in plays like "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" by Dale Wasserman, "The process against the Bogomils" by Stefan Tsanev, "Inspector" by Nikolai Gogol. Also Mutafov toured in theaters in Haskovo and Sofia (Theatre 199).He has participated with roles in over 20 films, including: "Glass Bead" director Ivan Cherkelov (1999); "At the end of the world," director Ivan Nichev (1998); "Well," director Docho Bodzhakov (1991); "Do not look back," directed by Lyudmil Kirkov (1971); "Cyclops", directed by Christo Christov. He also has worked with the young directors, such as Nikolay Todorov ( "The Minutes After"). Michail Mutafov is a two-time winner of Theater Award "Asker: in 2002, for Best Supporting Actor ( "Hotel between this and the other world" by Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, directed by Nikolay Lambrev) and in 2003, for Best Actor ( "Marat / Sade" by Peter Weiss, directed by Yavor Gardev).
- Pepa Nikolova Kirova is a Bulgarian actress. She was born in Harmanli, Bulgaria on December 23, 1946. In 1965, she entered to the Best Singers' School on radio and television, where she was noticed by the actor Peter Slabakov and film directors Irina Aktasheva and Hristo Piskov. They invited her to star in the title role in "Monday Morning." The film was banned by Communist censorship and remained unseen by the public until 1989, when 23 years later the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers gave her its Best Actress Award. In this film she as an unprofessional actress has played an unemployed "fallen girl of easy virtue" of the provincial town. But she was fascinated by a boy who is different from her other acquaintances. And he is an idealist and activist. He inspired her joining in his "brigade of communist labor." But she is skeptical about everyone and everything... The film does not come out of the screen, but the director Vili Tsankov invited her at the Youth Theatre, where she received the first small roles. Then she became a member of the troupe of Haskovo Drama Theater and since 1979 until her retirement - of Satire Theater, Sofia. The role of the gypsy Dzhalma, who was in love with "Big brother Sergo" (Stefan Danailov) in a series "At Every Kilometer" in 1969 brought her great popularity. In 2002, she was invited in Alexandra Audio to dub the voice of old Rose from "Monsters, Inc. ". In recent years, she was a host of the cable TV broadcasts. She has a daughter - Alexandra Sarchadzhieva, who is also an actress. Pepa Nikolova died on September 22, 2006 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
- Stoyan Stoev was born on November 25 1941 in Harmanli, Bulgaria. He graduated National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria with a degree in acting in 1965. He began to work in Burgas Drama Theatre, and then - in the Army Theatre in Sofia . He was awarded at "Golden Rose" National Film Festival in Varna for the role of Zahari Stoyanov in "Notes on Bulgarian Uprisings". When he was invited in "Notes ..." he is almost 35 years old and in a conversation pleaded resignation that his whole professional life will pass only on stage. But Borislav Sharaliev sees his incredible resemblance to Zahari Stoyanov and so the actor debuted straight with a starring role in the series. Then he already starred in many other films, playing regularly in the Army Theatre. His colleagues say that for Stoyan Stoev was a big blow secrets to the Soviet Union and Bulgaria, which revealed Gorbachev's perestroika. He died on January 24, 2000 in Sofia, Bulgaria. - Dimitar Hadzhiyanev is Bulgarian actor . He was born in Harmanli, Bulgaria on May 20, 1922. On September 10, 1944 he has drafted into the ranks of the First Bulgarian Army. From the first to the last day of the war against Hitler's Germany he is on the fronts. Dimitar Hadziyanev was awarded the Order of Honor, awarded on the battlefield. He graduated National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria in the class of Professor Filip Filipov in "acting". In 1953, he starts for the first time to play in the troupe of Rouse Drama Theater. From 1957 to 1991, he was constantly in the company of Varna Drama Theater. A part of his roles are: Mauricio in "Trees Die doing" by Alejandro Caso; Hristoforov in "At the foot of Vitosha" by Yavorov; Villas Zonenbruh in "Germans" by Leon Kruchkovski; Arbenin in "Masquerade" by Lermontov. He plays Jerry Ryan in "Two of the Cradle" by William Gibson; The Lawyer in "Love Unexplained" by Nedialko Yordanov. Peak cast in his career is Bernard Shaw in "Dear Liar" by Jerome Quilty. His Bernard Shaw was petulant, petty, capricious, paltry, pathetic in his whims and at the same time proud in love, worried about the world and mankind. There he has worked with such directors as Leon Daniel, Vili Tsankov, Boris Tafkov, Grisha Ostrovsky, Lyuben Groys, Stancho Stanchev, Tsvetan Tsvetkov, Krikor Azaryan. He has taken participation in many Bulgarian movies. For the role of Yosif Herbst in the film "On the Trail of the Missing" Dimitar Hadzhiyanev receive a Prize - Golden Feather (1978) by the Union of Bulgarian Journalists. He died in 2005 in Varna.

Ani Kachuleva was born on 3 October 1920 in Harmanli, Bulgaria. Ani was an art director, known for Chernite angeli (1970), Adaptatziya (1981) and Tsar i general (1966). Ani died on 8 May 2003 in Sofia, Bulgaria.- Zhivko Margaritov Garvanov is Bulgarian actor . He was born Harmanli, Bulgaria on June 20, 1934. He graduated National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria in 1959 with a degree in "acting in the class of Professor Filip Filipov. After the Academy, along with classmates Violeta Bahchevanova, Lily Raynova, Assen Kisimov, Vulcho Kamarashev and Vasil Stoychev he was appointed in the troupe of the Burgas Drama Theater "Adriana Budevska." It was a legendary period of this theater. Garvanov had a possibility to work with such directors as Leon Daniel, Vili Tzankov, Yuliya Ognyanova. Then he has moved to Sofia Drama Theater "Tears and Laughter", in which he has stayed until the end of his life. He has taken part in many Bulgarian movies. Garvanov died on July 21, 1998 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
